A Kitchen For You?! BEFORE & AFTER

What keeps your house from feeling like home?

A question worth asking for sure.
All too often the stumbling block is that your house does not feel like “you"...
and that can really drain your energy day in & day out.

Our clients knew they wanted a kitchen that was more THEM… but they weren’t sure what the steps were to get there —or exactly what the components were to create it.

They had added color—their favorite thing—but it still didn’t feel quite right.
They also knew they wanted a space that was more conducive to entertaining and to working together in the kitchen—without bumping into each other.

Here are the solutions we put in place for them:

  • We reconfigured the space so that there was more elbow room. No more bumper cars and too-close quarters for the chef!!

  • Ample seating at their island, so guests could visit while they cook (without being in the way!).

  • A fresh backdrop with classic white cabinets & lots of display space, so that all the colors & objects they love could shine.

A result that totally feels like theirs—customized to them.
A space that TOTALLY FEELS LIKE HOME.

Summer In Maine!

There is nothing like summer in Maine!
What could be better than summer in Maine --with an old house under construction?!?

Here's just a little snippet of the house project I have been working on--informal vlog style--sawdust, cobwebs, back staircases, messy hair and all! 🤓

This house has gone from 7 bedrooms with just 1 bathroom (WHAT?!?) to now being a 5 bedroom house with 4 bathrooms...including a handicap accessible one--since we started the project in 2021. We are in the final months of construction now, with furnishings going in later this fall.

A Kitchen Ready for Cooking Turkey! BEFORE & AFTER

I don’t know about you, but my kitchen seems especially small every Thanksgiving. There are a lot of good reasons for that--like my kids are home from college, my mother-in-law is here with us, and there is a lot of cooking going on! Can't wait!

However, for my clients, the kitchen frustrations lasted throughout the year...with a less than ideal layout, tiny kitchen sink, dated finishes...

After talking through everything they hoped to gain with their kitchen renovation, I developed a layout and design plan that better utilized the space they had, created more storage and brought in more style! :)

Here are the results:

The beautiful semi-custom cabinets, white oak floor, old world touches, and loads more natural light now all come together in a space that I am sure will be quite the place to be this Thursday!
